Has anyone visited Parliament and done so by asking their MP.
Mrs and I are expecting to be in London later in the year and I've asked our MP if we could visit. I'm just wondering what happens when you arrange it throughyour MP. What do gou get to see/do?

My wife and daughter went last September. They got a letter back from the MP and had an escorted tour of both houses which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Were they escorted by the MP?

What do you think? Is acting as tour guide an MPs job?

It’s completely down to the MP, I had a fairly extensive tour a couple of years ago, including Portcullis House, the Commons During a debate, the Commons Library, the Chapel, Great Hall, the Lords Tea Room and the Strangers Bar. It’s very much down to how much time they want to give you.
