All,
Looking for a bit of guidance on an upcoming trip to Zermatt. To get this out of the way, I have done lots of hiking and a couple non-technical (no glaciers) mountain summits in the US. I was interested in getting a guide and doing a lighter mountain like Breithorn, unfortunately nobody seems to be available this close to my trip. I have full gear as I am prepping to do an introductory course for mountaineering back home in the Cascades (Mount Baker).
I am interested in putting on my crampons and just walking around somewhere high with good views (not dangerous) while I am visiting if possible. Looking for suggestions on possible places to do this, certainly locations with low risk. I have some backup hikes planned if this is not suggested.
Thanks!
