Caff and Bransby's stylish free ascent back in 2009 has gotta be worth a mention, flashed all but the crux roof.

Yeh, that roof pitch looked mean and very sustained. Great Vid. Thanks for posting.

Fair play for LRS such a difficult route - looks epic. 💪

But I can’t help but feel, judging by the pictures, that the stuff about being alone in the mountains rings a bit hollow. He appears to have a team of photographers around him the entire time which, while providing us with nice pictures, doesn’t really fit with some of his highfalutin words.

Maybe he took the pictures himself with a drone. If not I suspect his mate rocked up for a couple of hours to buzz him with the drone before retiring to a hut until the next day returning for some more shots.

Nothing better to highlight the irony / tragedy of "professional" adventure climbing in the age of social media and influencer marketing than a rope "solo" on a near-4000m peak with two photographers in tow...

This is why Silvia Vidal was such a boss. Zero bullshit (and a different time).

That said it's not us who read about this and maybe find it hollow who are to be pitied, but rather Siebe who'd probably also prefer to just do his thing and skip the blah.

You’re talking rubbish JLS… There’s going to be film and the photos are credited, obviously he didn’t take the pictures himself.
