Sounds like a real adventure, thoughts go back to the time when your mum would tie your gloves to string and threaded them though the arms of your jacket to stop you losing them. Perhaps some development of this theory could be useful for Malcolm Bass.
Off topic, I once saw a Kiwi lady called Pat fall a good distance off Lord of the Flies while trying to do Right Wall. I was very impressed with her reaction, which was something along the lines of 'oh, what a shame', as opposed to the more forthright observations some of us might have found helpful. Wonder if that was this same PD?
