Rockfax Description
14m. Approach the roof with trepidation then follow the main flake rightwards to the lip and a difficult final move to sensibly angled ground. Escape up and left to finish or climb a shallow groove - The Fantasy Finish, 5b. © Rockfax

FA. Phil Burke 1979, though futuristically top roped by Mike Simpkins in the 1960s. Fantasy Finish, Dave Jones

Ticklists: Peak Rock/14/Gritstone After the Gold Rush.

An intimidating line! Fluffed it getting established over the roof on the 1st go. Pulled ropes and did it second go. Cam higher up in the roof-flake seemed OK but I was happy to not test it a second time!

Probably only E3 with a sensible baby bouncer. Definitely only 5b!

awesome route did it ground up 3rd or 4th go. really pumpy and decent gear the higher you go up the flake. 5b is totally laughable. Its 5c in the guide and its a fierce one at that!

E4 5b probably descibes this well, never seen 5c. Watch out placing cams in that flake it's thinner than sin!
