Rockfax Description
Brilliant! Great positions, some of the biggest (and sharpest) jugs known to man, but steep rock and not one for a timid second. From the belay ledge, step down and make a tricky pull up across onto the wall to gain the base of a flake. Continue traversing left, going up and down a bit, as far as a tricky move up past a big undercut. Trend up leftwards from here towards the finishing corner, finish up this, or belay on the ledge on the left if you need to watch your second. © Rockfax

Catrin's big lead! Really sharp jugs and perplexing moves to start: this route is significantly harder than "Dream of White Horses" and is well worth its stars. Top tip: the belay looks ideal for a sling, but is probably best with wires to resist a potential sideways pull.

Head all over the place on this one. Came off the very last steep moves, took a massive fall and had to climb back up to the line without prussiks. Felt more like E1 5a as sustained 5a moves with sub-optimal gear. Fantastic - one to come back to and do clean.

Pretty wild. Abseiled in but only off one big block, couldn't find the good spikes the guide mentioned. High spring and fairly windy and rough, getting dark from the start. Difficult move pulling on to the wall with no gear, almost bailed. Traverse is ok once you're on it, with some gear. Belayed above the corner and scrambled off in the dark. Good effort from rachel, didn't lose her to the waves! intimidating and almost the same to second as to lead.

Montecore 18/Sep/16 2nd O/S

Scary stuff! Found moves at end of traverse hardest, wondering if I missed something. Enough of Joris's gear stayed in to protest the traverse thanks to a low directional piece before the first step.

Fantastic route! Found a few of the moves quite hard (first move was nails with no gear), made scarier by the lack of nearby gear and the large swings I would've taken if I fell. The waves crashing and then booming in the sea cave, while the sun set added to the ambience. Was quite chuffed to hear that none of my gear fell out. Belayed on a ledge to be able to see second before we scrambled to the top.

ChrisH89 27/Aug/16 2nd O/S

Absolutely incredible route, a true 3 star classic. High tide. All the protection in the traverse came out so the hard section was essentially a DWS. Brilliant little adventure including an abseil down onto a small ledge almost at sea level, some delicate moves to reach the first jug, and the constant risk of falling in the sea! Both leader and second should be happy leading at the grade for this one. Don't recommend the downclimb option to reach the start, the last section is steep, polished and sketchy - harder than VDiff as the guide suggests. Will remember this one for a long time.

Omg!! What a way to finish a cracking weekend in Pembrokeshire. Good effort on the lead Chris. A committing first move on crimps to gain the wall then exciting jug pulling interspersed with good rests. Used different beta to Chris on the Crux finding an adequate crimp up and right instead of matching on the undercut, several more steep and exciting moves without much rest before reaching the corner. One final bit of excitement moving left around a buldge and then easy climbing from there to the top. What a route.

Brilliant climbing on huge holds. Accessing the low rail of jugs feels committing but not too hard. I made it just past the big (wet) undercut hold when my knee made a loud crunching noise. Exactly the same happened last year on Suicide Wall in Bosigran so looks like another cartilage tear that will require surgery. I couldn't straighten my leg so I made myself safe on a hanging belay. We contemplated ringing the coastguard but thought we could sort ourselves out. Moritz did a great job of rescuing me and then retrieving most of the gear. There are a few piece still left in the traverse so if anyone does the climb in the next few days and could pick it up that would be great!

The exposure and extreme nature of this route i think entitle it the grade E1. Down climbing a severe to even get to the start above the crashing sea. The fact that the route is just as imposing on second as for the leader, and some averagely hard moves all make this an incredible adventure. Squeezed this amazing route inbetween the rain. Undercling was a tad slimy and it was tentative as I moved up from this onto two small, positive but wet holds before getting better holds.

Bit of an epic. Got fairly pumped but going OK until I dropped my small nuts into the sea just before reaching the corner. Nightmare. Sat on ropes while Peter lowered some more, then did an hanging belay for Tim and then finished the route. Swam round at low tide and amazingly managed to fish out the nuts.

Couldn't commit to a low move from a hand rail to a groove quite early on. Several rests required before doing it. Perhaps should've taken a higher line because it felt harder then the crux?

Got a dunking climbing down before the traverse to the flake. Soaked from the torso down. Waited for a few more waves then went for it (tide was on its way out).
