Alex posted on Facebook: SO EXCITED!!! Sent Jade 8B+ / V14 today! It was my fourth day at the climb today and I did it first go. Almost sent it the first day on it, but fell off the last hold and tore my fingertip. Went back 2 other days in the worst conditions and realized I will need to it be dry to do it. It finally stopped raining and I had a good dry day, a little warm, but really dry and was able to do it. And to top it off I was able to climb Wild Cat V12/V11 on the back side of the boulder. I personally think it is a V12 which it was put up as, but some people have thought V11. That would be one hard V11! Thank you so much Joel Zerr for all the support, your the best!!!

Before Daniel made the first ascent in June 2007 the problem had been known as the "Green 45" project since Dave Graham found it six years earlier. Originally it was given 8C.

This makes Alex the 4th female, after Tomoko Ogawa, Ashima Shiraishi and Shauna Coxsey, to climb a confirmed 8B+. It was just a month ago she climbed her first 8B's, Top notch and Nuthin but sunshine, and now this. It will be interesting to see what the future holds...
