Laura Rogora has made the first female ascent of Lapsus, 9a+, at Andonno, Italy.

Established by Stefano Ghisolfi in 2015, the 30 metre route links Noia (8c+) - Italy's first 8c+ - into the top section of Anaconda 8b+.

Upon completing the seventy-move route, Ghisolfi gave it a grade of 9b, making it Italy's first route at the grade.

However, repeat ascensionists, including Adam Ondra, Marcello Bombardi, Jonathan Siegrest, and Sébastien Bouin, found slightly easier methods, including previously unused kneebars, which lowered the grade to 9a+.

Rogora shared news of the ascent on Instagram, where she said:

'Proud to add my name to the list of repeaters of this historical piece of Italian climbing'.

Lapsus is Rogora's third route at 9a+, and her eighth route at 9a and above. In 2020, she became the second woman to climb 9b, with her ascent of Alí Hulk (sitstart) + extension (9b), before making her second 9b ascent in 2021, when she climbed another of Ghisolfi's routes, Erebor, 9b.
