Tom Livingstone is a climber and writer based in North Wales, UK.

He has a penchant for trad, winter and alpine climbing - the bigger and harder, the better.

Tom is an acclaimed outdoor writer, and you can read some of his published pieces here. His writing has appeared nationally and internationally, in print and online.

Some of his favourite routes include Cracking Up (IX,9), The Fourth Dimension (E7 6c), Fun or Fear (ED3), Rare Lichen (E9 6c), The Secret (IX, 9), Divine Providence (ED3), and a winter ascent of the Walker Spur (ED3), but he's still psyched for more.

In 2019, Tom was awarded the Piolet d’Or (Golden Ice Axe) for his ascent of Latok I with Aleš Česen and Luka Stražar. You can read his thoughts about the award here. Also in 2019, he established The Great Game on Koyo Zom (6877m) in Pakistan. In 2021, he made the first ascent of Tengkangpoche's North-East Pillar in Nepal's Khumbu region.

He works as an outdoor instructor, holding the Mountain Leader and Single Pitch Award, and as an IRATA Level 2 Rope Access technician.
