The Ticklist #50 Hard Sport Climbing

This week's Ticklist is all about hard sport ascents...

Raven Tor Action

After Will Bosi's exceptional couple of week's at Derbyshire's Raven Tor, the man himself was back making the second ascent of Buster Martin's Persian Dawn (8c+). The route adds a Font 7C boulder problem into Make it Funky (8c) (8c).

Another climber who's been fairing well at the limestone crag is 16-year-old Toby Roberts, who has followed up his ascent of Hubble (9a) with an ascent of Evolution (8c+). Here's to hoping we won't have to wait as long for another ascent of the extension, MutatioMutation (9a+).

Erebor for Ondra

Adam Ondra has made the third ascent of Stefano Ghisolfi's Erebor in Arco. The route was graded 9b/+ by Ghisolfi and the second ascensionist, Laura Rogora, agreed with him but Ondra has suggested it may only warrant 9b. He added 'The fact that Laura did Erebor is one of the most impressive feats in climbing ever, but my suggestion is just my honest opinion and not a way to put down her achievement. Not talking about the fact she can definitely climb harder than that.'

Flex Luthor for Carlo Traversi

Rare repeats are like buses... Weeks after Matty Hong made the long awaited repeat of Tommy Caldwell's Flex Luthor, Carlo Traversi has made the third ascent. Caldwell climbed the route in 2003 and didn't offer a grade at the time, but Hong suggested it could be 9b. Whilst Traversi hasn't offered up his thoughts on the grade, he has said: 'It's definitely the hardest thing I've climbed on a rope so far.'

VIDEO: Janja Garnbret Onsights 8c

Just over a week ago, we reported that Janja Garnbret had become the first woman to onsight 8c and she did it twice in the space of a couple of days. Fanatic climbing have now released the footage of her onsight of American Hustle
