To try the obvious, Another Brick in the Wall.
Mick Smiley’s “Magic” is one song but splits naturally in to two parts. To think the chap did that for Ghostbusters then gave up making music.

Is the part two the Madonna version? If so, we will have to disagree on its merit.

Seriously? American Pie is a classic album - recommend you head over to YouTube!
I'd have let you off if you were a kid but (if your profile is accurate) you were born in the 60s, so that is inexcusable! I refuse to believe anyone over the age of 30 hasn't heard American Pie or Vincent.

P.S. no Hawfinches at Gait Barrows, but Jack Snipes at Leighton...
> Seriously? American Pie is a classic album - recommend you head over to YouTube!
Seriously?! The whole concept of American Pie is worthy of a civil war in Wigan! If I had that album I’d smash it up.
> The Three Kings, by Peter Cornelius. A favourite carol.
> P.S. no Hawfinches at Gait Barrows, but Jack Snipes at Leighton...
Nice. Lovely place as well. Rich in wildlife.
The answer is My My Hey Hey (Out of the Blue) and Hey Hey My My (Into the Black), obviously
Many songs can be divided into parts, e.g., Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, Pink Floyd's Shine on You Crazy Diamond, The Beatles' Day in a Life, Dexy's Midnight Runners' Come on Eileen.
> The answer is My My Hey Hey (Out of the Blue) and Hey Hey My My (Into the Black), obviously
that would come a very, very close second.
> Many songs can be divided into parts, e.g., Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, Pink Floyd's Shine on You Crazy Diamond, The Beatles' Day in a Life, Dexy's Midnight Runners' Come on Eileen.
Damn you and you’re incorrect answers
Not strictly a reprise, but surely two parts: I am the resurrection by the Stone Roses
> Many songs can be divided into parts, e.g., Pink Floyd's Shine on You Crazy Diamond,
This song was actually an original five parter, but I have been told by someone, that it is actually a nine. Divided in to two separate sequences.
Rainy Day Women Nos. 12 & 35
Synchronicity, The Police

You know what, I went ‘aln will get it’. You’ve made my week. What a stonker. Some other great songs listed above, but Smash It Up wins.
Bloody hell! You have also made mine. And bizarre coincidence that I'm wearing the t-shirt as we speak!
Roy Orbison’s truly wonderful ‘In Dreams’ of 1963 was in six parts.
> Bloody hell! You have also made mine. And bizarre coincidence that I'm wearing the t-shirt as we speak!

However, before his crimes came to light, Gary Glitters Rock and Roll part one and two were widely regarded as absolute bangers. Truth be told they still are, we just don’t talk about that any more.
Time of the Preacher; Willie Nelson. Made famous by Edge of Darkness.

Primal Scream - higher than the sun (a dub symphony in two parts)?

Dream Sequence. Pauline Murray and the Invisible Girls
Haven’t heard that in a LOT of years
Bob Dylan's six minute long Like A Rolling Stone was originally released as a single in the summer of 1965 with the first two verses on one side and verses three and four on the other. Radio DJs who wanted to play the whole thing would have to flip it over. DJs who didn't would find their station bombarded by phone calls demanding they did. Whether or not you think it's the best song ever released in two parts, it's certainly the only one that changed popular music for ever.
Judy is a Punk by the Ramones. Three verses, but the second verse is the same as the first so doesn't count.
> Judy is a Punk by the Ramones. Three verses, but the second verse is the same as the first so doesn't count.
I think the whole of Judi is a Punk was only as long as one of Rolling Stone's four verses! But yes, fired the gun on another musical revolution.
> Haven’t heard that in a LOT of years
It was fated by this thread, that I found the 10” today to replace my long-disappeared copy

It's actually Don MacLean, but who cares? 🤣
Sadly, Peter Glaze is long dead, but Don Maclean is still going and, thankfully, so are Half Man Half Biscuit.
> You can keep your Krishna burgers
I have no idea what you're referring to.
How about Wings? I've often thought that some of their music is a kind of prog pop, with multiple parts in a song. The 2 most obvious examples being Band On The Run and Live And Let Die.
Is the correct answer Rock and Roll parts one and two by Gary Glitter?
Perhaps no
That was covered a few posts above.
A contender for best song about a jersey. Although, all I'd like for Christmas is a Dukla Prague away kit.
> Best tune with a partt one and two is Layla surely?
In that vein I reckon Poco with Rose Of Cimarron is way better.
Can't You Hear Me Knocking is effectively in two parts, with the great extended riff of the first part followed, a couple of minutes in or so and for another five minutes by the meandering rest of the song.
