As a lover of ticklists I'm trying to make a list of Peak grit boulder problems that would be more relaxing under 'snowball' conditions. So far I can think of:
I'm up for your suggestions of punter level boulders (up to 7B+ ish) that while doable year round, would benefit from a nice levelled-out snowy platform.
Most of the following I've not done but I think all of these but where all done as highballs above snow during the last decent dump in 2013. Snowballing to me is more the soloing of bold short routes which often have bad landings or would require many, many pads to be considered safe apposed to problems that often get bouldered out with a team with a decent amount of pads
Thanks for the suggestions folks. Graham, you're right about the definition, but as someone who never gets to attend 'pad parties' under popular problems with bad landings, I guess I am more interested in the bouldery end of the spectrum. I'll check out all of those routes though!
Somebody told me that he had seen quietus being soloed in very snowy conditions. Hard to imagine but he reckons the bank of snow was over 10 metres high. Could be complete bollocks.
