Kuntur Sayana - Bolting and climbing a perfect line in Peru
This week's Friday Night Video follows Charlotte Durif and Josh Larson to Peru where they discovered an unclimbed 230m limestone wall at 4800m in the heart of the Andes. The pair discovered the line on their 'A World Less Travelled' video series two years ago.
The climb's first pitch is the crux and weighs in at a hefty 8a+. It's followed by a 7b+, three 8a's, a 7c and a final 5. No mean feat at nearly 5000m. Durif and Larson named the route Vuelo del Condor. The film below follows their initial bolting of the route, their time at basecamp and their redpoint of the route.
