Rob attempts to climb Cruel Sister (E3 5c) exactly 50 years after his first ascent, sharing his thoughts, opinions, and memories on a perfect Lakeland day.

A pioneer of the Lakeland climbing scene, local legend Rob is still climbing hard in his 70s and has recently been making repeat ascents of iconic climbs he created 50 years ago; imposing and inspiring lines such as Paladin (E3 6a), Cruel Sister (E3 5c) and Holocaust (E4 6a), often on camera under his 'Angry Pensioner' alias and accompanied by his son Craig. Continuing the family tradition, Craig is one of the UK's foremost climbers with many hard Lakeland first ascents under his belt including Stopper Knot (E8 6c), Thy Will be Done (E8 6c) and Hard Cheese (E10 7a).
