Pobeda - Climbing the Northern Hemisphere's Coldest Peak

Our Friday Night Video this week follows Simone Moro to the Siberian region of Sakha in the far east of Russia. It is known for its extreme and severe climate. One of its remote villages is the coldest permanently inhabited settlement in the world, with the lowest temperature in being recorded at -71.3°C. The region is home to Pik Podeba, the highest mountain in Siberia, where climbers Simone Moro and Tamara Lunger attempted the first winter ascent of the 3000m peak in February 2018.
