About the ForumsThese discussion forums are hosted on UKClimbing. There are 17 forums covering a variety of different topics - read Forum Descriptions for more details. To post on the forums you should first become a registered user. Some of the forums allow postings from unregistered users but these may be removed by the moderators if they are completely anonymous - read more about our posting guidelines. Becoming a Registered User To become a registered user, please enter your chosen user name, your preferred email address and a password. We will immediately create an account for you, and send you a confirmation email with a single click link in it to activate your registration. You will then have full access to the forums, photo galleries and other parts of the site. You can set your password to be anything you like, between 5 and 15 letters long, and we'll also email you a copy of your password in case you forget it. Remember that unless you move between different computers you should only need to enter your password the once - your web browser will remember that you are logged in. TIP: don't keep the same password for other websites you use - especially for important sites like online banking! If you are having difficulty registering then take a look at our Help Page. What are the benefits of being a Registered User?
UKClimbing.com is a free to access site but it costs many thousands of pounds each year to run and develop. By registering on the site you help build up our user statistics which make the site more appealing to potential advertisers - so the more people using the site, the more advertising revenue we can spend on making the site even bigger and better. Are the Forums moderated? These forums are moderated by Alan James, Mick Ryan, Jack Geldard, Mark Glaister and Jonathan Lagoe. Our aim is to keep up the general standard of the forums by following the Posting Guidelines. We don't want to stifle good debate and consequently you may well encounter forthright opinions - read more about our policy on censorship. If you come across anything which you object to then please use the Report Abuse page.
