Please use this thread to post moderating requests, problem crags and suggestions. If you do post about a crag then please use the Logbooks 'Insert crag link...' box above the reply box so that a link is included which makes things lot easier to sort than if just a crag name is written.

Existing Moderators
If you moderate a crag but find yourself ignoring the update emails, or you have lost interest, or you have moved away then please could you remove yourself as moderator using the button at the base of the crag moderation page. Then reply to this thread with 'Crag Available' and the crag link inserted so that someone else can volunteer.

New Moderators
If you would like to moderate a crag, and feel you could do a better job than the current moderator, then reply to this thread with 'Crag Requested', the crag name and link so that we can arrange a switch if appropriate. We can now add second moderators to crags as well.

I think it's too big, it includes different crags which are kilometers away from each other both vertically and horizontally. Is there an easy way I can split some of the buttresses into separate crags?

I’ve left the central belt so will no longer be contributing to the polish here. There may or may not be much more to moderate on this now anyway but the odd route magics itself out of nowhere from time to time.

I'm not sure why but I noticed here - Roaches Skyline that there are a load of boulders that are mis-labelled as boulder circuits, even though the circuit tick box is unticked!

I'm the moderator for  Saint-Loup in Switzerland. The only two photos here are actually for the completely unrelated mountain Pic Saint-Loup (in France). Is there any way the location tag could be removed on the photos? I'm worried it's giving a slightly misleading impression of the crag!

I've just taken on Craig Pant Ifan (Tremadog) as a moderator as I noticed it was needing one. I've been going through comments/updates and have a couple questions if anyone can help:

1) I need to delete a few duplicate climbs. I therefore need to transfer some peoples ticks from one climb to another. Any idea how to go about this? The moderator FAQ mentions it but doesn't say how. 

2) What's the meaning of the hollow star in the star voting system? I'd always assumed it was for unrepeated routes where repeat ascents hadn't yet confirmed the stars (common to many guidebooks), but thinking about it that doesn't really make sense given that anyone can vote a hollow star, and there aren't 2 or 3 hollow stars for proposed 2* or 3* new routes. So what's the story with the hollow star? I've provisionally assigned a proposed new route a hollow star (instead of the FA's proposed 1*) and want to check this is right.

Apologies if all this has been covered in the past, I did a search and couldn't find anything.

Would be keen to clean up Stac an Eich, Ballachulish. Stac An Eich things are a bit jumbled. 

Just click on Delete. If there's existing ticks, it'll ask you which route to move them to on the next page.

Hollow star is 0 stars. I can see why this looks confusing now, sorry about that.

All the boulders at  Lawrencefield - Bole Hill Sidings at the bottom of the page - should not be classed as boulder circuits. I tried to change them to standard boulders but it didn’t seem to work!

Only the full circuit should be tagged as a circuit like here:  La Canche aux Merciers

The individual problems should be listed as normal boulder problems.

I agree but it appears that they’ve been added as circuits and I can’t change them back to standard boulder problems. eg.

I'm happy to clean up the duplication between No match for crag id:3459, No match for crag id:13743 and  Foel Goch 831m (Glyderau). They should all be merged into one crag really.

Also, talking of Foel Goch, I noticed it's a little messy trying to distinguish between the different Foel Gochs across N Wales. I suggest the following name changes would make this clearer:

Foel Goch 611m (near Bala) could be renamed "Foel Goch 611m (near Bala)".

Foel Goch 605m (near Llanberis) could be renamed "Foel Goch 605m (near Llanberis)".

Foel Goch 831m (Glyderau) could be renamed "Foel-goch 831m (Glyderau)" [if not obsolete from merging above].

Y Foel Goch 805m (Glyderau) could be renamed "Y Foel Goch 805m (Glyderau)". Note  Y Foel Goch 805m (Glyderau) links to the same crag.

Please could you add me as second moderator to  Pantymwyn (Devil's Gorge)? I'd like to tidy up how the independent and link-up routes and boulder problems are presented.

The current moderator is inactive. He was last there in 2006 and only climbed one route. Also he appears to be inactive on the forum since 2011.

 I was up there on Friday some of the grading is hopelessly wrong. Please would you hand the crag over to me and I'll tidy it up.

The Pagoda buttress on Kinder south looks like it's location is wrong looking at the satellite map. I belive it is the rocks north of the path and east of it's current location where Noe Stool is, unfortunately I can't change it.

Do others just accept everything that gets sent through as new or do you actually look if it's new or not?

Myself, if I know its been done before even if its not recorded I don't. A crag could end up with hundreds of pointless eliminates which just confuse people.

I think just do as you're already doing. Sounds like a reasonable approach to me.

There are some pretty mindboggling examples of this, where pretty much every conceivable configuration of holds gets a name and quite often some stars on here.

I doubt it's a priority, but it would be handy if you could choose to show/hide climbs that are marked as 'stupid link-ups and eliminates for local obsessives'

Hi, looking to add a new boulder called SXBW located at 53.340239, -1.609446. Doesn't seem to be included on here, on the Rockfax app or in the Rockfax books for either Burbage West which is nearest or Higgar Tor which is second nearest. 

I've 7 or 8 problems in the V0 & V1 range to add with pics that me and a friend have been playing with while I regain confidence after a mishap at Stanage. 

If you can create the buttress then I'm happy to populate the rest, I think I can remember it all after being mod for  Cookson Park Boulder.

Noticed a thing where I've added a new climb, which is not yet approved by the moderator. When I click on it in the list on the crag page, it just comes up 'page not found'.

Can  and  be made buttresses within  Val de Bagnes please? And the climb No match for climb id:475142 be merged into Left Hand Fall (WI-4).
