MSR WindBurner Group Stove System
The WindBurner range has been extended for 2018 to include a new remote canister stove and various pots and pans to go with it. Richard Prideaux cooks up a review...
Small enough to fit into the palm of your hand it is a little giant when it comes to stoves. Despite its size this is one sturdy piece of kit thanks to intelligent design and solid steel and aluminium construction. It is stable enough to easily accommodate 2L pots and the steady base and serrated top mount helps to prevent spills. The top mounted fuel line warms the fuel before it reaches the flame for optimum performance and the stove's clever precision simmer control function enables you to control heat output, save fuel and avoid burning food. What's more, it's a dream to dismantle and clean in the field due to its simplicity of design.
This stove is suitable for using in all weather conditions and it operates well in extreme cold temperatures and in damp weather so ideal for winter treks as well as for the summer season. In addition, the stove comes with a heat reflector and a new quick release stuff bag.
