Oz Pullover #4, 6 kbAt the prestigious new European Outdoor Awards last year, there was only one product that was deemed worthy of winning a gold award............the Oz Pullover from Haglöfs! Selected from over 150 entries, the Oz sufficiently impressed the judges, due to its innovative design and high level of workmanship.

So what makes the Oz so special? The answer lies in its simplicity! The Oz is a minimalist, ultra-light smock made from Gore-Tex® Paclite®, designed for the adrenalin junkie who demands exceptional breathability combined with minimal bulk. It weighs a mere 175gms (size L) and uses only two pieces of fabric in the body, which reduces seams and taping, thus reducing bulk. It is probably the world's lightest Gore-Tex® top and is perfect for any high adrenalin activities,

To keep the weight as low as possible, the Oz has only necessary features. There's a laminated front pocket for storage of essentials like a compass or route card with reflective gorilla grip for high visibility, a watertight zip, single-handed adjustable bottom hem, 3 way adjustable hood, articulated sleeves, and elasticated adjustable cuffs with thumb loops. All are functional and necessary features. There's nothing frivolous to get in the way. The price ticket of £165 may seem rather high for something that weighs so little, but one of Haglöfs strap lines is: “Save money. Buy more expensive stuff.” How true can that be!
