The Scarpa Zero Gravity Collection Gear News

The Zero Gravity (ZG) family of product represents a new class of product for Scarpa, designed around a fluid and dynamic rolling gait concept and sits alongside the traditional hiking range. The core of the ZG range is a new last shape (called TRM) which is designed with a more pronounced toe spring. This new fit has a noticeable rocker compared to other walking footwear, promoting a progressive and rolling gait.

All the models in the ZG range share a common sole unit, the new Vibram Salix Trek sole. This sole was designed specifically for the Scarpa ZG models and is optimised to work with the new TRM rolling last. This Vibram sole has a broad spread of shallow lugs, reducing weight but giving excellent durability on hard ground. The cushioning layer is made up of two different densities of PU for excellent heel strike absorption, while the drop from heel to toe feels more like a running shoe than a traditional walking boot.

The Zero Gravity family are the perfect footwear for walking quickly in comfort on defined trails carrying a midsized backpack.
