All the hammocks in Cocoon's range are constructed from specially developed textiles and cords to deliver lightweight, compact packages for the most demanding travellers and backpackers. Despite their impressive low weights, the Hammocks are cut somewhat oversized for comfort - no cheating the weight saving by reducing the area of fabric - these are meant for a great nights sleep!

Top of the range is the Ultralight Hammock. Constructed utlising an amazing 20 Denier Hexagonal Rip Stop Nylon, this hammock packs down to an impressively small 17x7 cm and weighs a mere 240g - that's less than a can of soft drink!

The Hammock is suspended from super strong high tech UHMW-PE cords and 2 x Aluminium Karabiners rated to 12kN (not rated for climbing!). The same cord material is also cleverly used to create a "ridge line" that ensures perfect pitch every time.

Sleeping with the midges or going somewhere tropical - the UL Hammock is also available with a detachable "no see-um" mosquito net. Its ultra fine mesh size - 600 holes per square inch - is tight enough to keep even the most voracious insects at bay, yet is open enough to stay cool and be highly breathable.

If hunting every last gram is not your top priority but comfort and affordability are, then Cocoon's regular series of single and double hammocks are ideal. Using a 70 Denier Diamond Rip Stop Nylon fabric, they are available in a series of bright fun colours and share many of the same features as the Ultralights, plus the same Cocoon attention to build quality and detail - and they are strong - max load 180kg!
