Andreas Jakabffy, CEO, Primus AB, said: "The new OmniLite Ti took two years in the making and is our most advanced stove yet. It's sturdy, robust, reliable and versatile like Primus's first stove with Omnifuel technology, with the added advantage of being very lightweight and low on fuel consumption. This is an expedition stove that has excellent credentials, will perform in extreme conditions and follows our strict environmental code too. And that's not just our opinion, it's won two prestigious industry awards already."

Made of titanium the stove weighs in at just 239g and has been optimised for the use of pots with a heat exchanger resulting in a lower need for fuel.

The jury of experts met for two days to examine the 301 product entries for design quality. "The trend towards ultra-lightweight products continues. The use of material has been optimized, the design reduced and anything unnecessary is being eliminated more and more frequently. There were exciting new products in all the categories,” said juror Mark Held, managing director, European Outdoor Group.

Ralph White, managing director, Rosker Ltd who is responsible for Primus in the UK says: “The OmniLite Ti is one of the most exciting developments we've seen from Primus. A classic Primus design, scaled down in size to perfection it is great for alpinists and backpackers; it just looks and performs brilliantly. The build quality and ability to run off so many types of fuel makes it a king of stoves. It was a great tribute that it won a Gold Award at OutDoors. Demand from UK retailers has already been amazing and we're well on our way with customer pre-orders to selling out our allocation of the first few production runs already.”
