The Metolius Gatekeeper is a belay carabiner designed to stop cross loading by preventing incorrect alignment on your harness belay loop due to the internal gate. The Gatekeeper has a widened spine which helps to stop assisted braking belay devices from migrating too far along the spine of the crab.

Nice idea, but is there any chance of having a normal belay device clip itself into the bottom part by accident when belaying?
