Winter has arrived so if you’re looking for a rope for winter use then the 8.5mm Mammut Genesis rope is the answer.
In 1862, Kasper Tanner began producing ropes in a small village in rural Switzerland. Over 150 years later, the company he founded has now evolved into Mammut and uses all this know-how in each and every rope design.
Mammut Rope Production Video:
The Genesis is a multi-purpose double rope that meets UIAA standards for both half and twin ropes.
By using state-of-the-art production techniques, Mammut has created a highly durable and hard wearing double rope that’s ideal for ice and mixed routes and is also a great choice for summer trad and Alpine routes.
Using superDRY™ technology, Mammut seals the entire rope – both the core and sheath - from the worst that Mother Nature can dish out. This provides greater resistance to dirt and abrasion - thereby increasing lifespan
On the outside, Mammut’s COATINGfinish™ provides maximum resistance to abrasion and gives great handling.
The 8.5mm Genesis is available in 50, 60 and 70m lengths.
