Plywood Climbing Wall Volumes

The updated HRT plywood range includes 30 different shapes all available in 16 different colours, including the pre-shaped Unique volumes and Modular units that can be combined to create your own volume combinations. Many of these are also available with an optional bolt-on plywood base too – an innovative system that connects the volume to the climbing wall surface without using screws and so avoids damaging the wall surface.

From March 2017 onwards, all plywood volumes are now manufactured with metal inserts at the screw attachment points for much greater safety and ease of mounting. These inserts reduce degradation of the volume around the mounting holes and create a more secure attachment by increasing the forces required to pull the volume from the wall.

Resin Climbing Wall Volumes

The HRT range now includes over 100 resin volumes in a variety of different materials: GRP and polyester offer tried and tested technology at a great price, the RockIT range recreates real rock tufa and crack features and the latest CompozIT (hollow-back) technology offers an extreme reduction in weight, making it much easier to mount and change volume position.

The popular HRT Mini volume range has also undergone an overhaul with most of the volumes now solely available in moulded hollow-back PU (polyurethane) rather than plywood. With prices starting from under £30, HRT Mini volumes are a great choice if you’re looking for a simple and economical method to instantly improve route setting options at your climbing facility – we know because we use loads of them here at Beacon Climbing Centre!
