E9 - Rondo Slim Pant Winter
Made in Italy within 30km of the E9 HQ in order to minimise carbon footprint, these soft pants are a best seller. Organic cotton, distinctive pockets and a range of colours in both men's and women's cut. Heavier gauge fabric in the winter version is warmer and slightly thicker.
Fjallraven - Wool Range
The Fjallraven products use three types of sustainable wool - Traceable, Recovered and Re-wool. They have gone back to the source of the wool they use so you know exactly where it's come from. A great more ethical alternative to synthetic plastics. The trekking products are robust and reliable. Their base layers use ZQ sustainable wool. Their Swedish wool project helps them understand the needs of their suppliers and farmers. Their recycled wool comes from old garments or spill over wool from suit production in Italy. The Canada Wool padded jacket has recycled wool on the outside and Recovered wool on the inside - which would have otherwise been thrown away.

Rab - Muztag GTX Jacket and Pants RRP £350 & £330
Rab has partnered with Gore-Tex for some new waterproof kit and have reworked this jacket completely. Three-point adjustable hood, 2-way zip for harness, double map pockets for both men's and women's and hidden pit zips make this jacket a good choice for both Alpine and British weather. The pants have long zips, articulated knees and reinforced cutaway crampon patches.

Arc'teryx - Norvan SL Insulated Hoody
A superlight insulated hoody, the lightest weight insulated Gore-Tex hoody by Arcteryx. Designed for trail running, its insulation is zoned on the front and back, with the fill removed from the armpits and elbows for warmth where you need it and greater movement and breathability where that's more important. The jacket packs into a small stuff sack housed in the inside pocket so you can carry it easily and pull it out when you need it. Women's (small) weighs in at 235g and men's ( medium) at 270g.
Arc'teryx - Proton LT
A High breathability mid layer designed for skiing and climbing. High durability makes it ideal for climbing in. The jacket has a helmet compatible hood and one roomy chest pockets you can access when wearing a harness. It weighs just 400g in the men's medium size, which isn't a lot for the warmth it promises. We think this would be a great summer belay jacket, and it looks really good for active wear in winter too.
Outdoor Research - Gripper Glove and Lucent Glove RRP £330 & £220
Outdoor Research have made some big update to their range of heated gloves, which span from the mega warm Capstone for alpine use, down to the entry-level Gripper. An updated version which is now a heated glove. With a gore-tex Infinium lining which gives wind and rain resistance, and a nice pre-curved fit. All Outdoor Research heated gloves now have a touch screen finger. The battery is kept out of the way on the wrist, and " butterflies" into two parts for a less obtrusive fit at the wrist. High, medium and low heat settings with 8 hours of heat in the lowest setting. The Lucent is a Gore-Tex waterproof, heated glove ideal for skiing with a big protective wrist cuff to keep the elements out. It has A durable and grippy palm which has a touchscreen finger and thumb. The battery has a higher heat output than the Gripper, and a longer life.
Outdoor Research - Refuge Hoody/Vigor RRP £155-£200
Using Outdoor Research's own VerticalX and VerticalX Air insulation plus unique Active Temp treatment. VerticalX is a lapped insulation which recovers really well from being compressed. VerticalX is 100% recycled and VerticalX Air is 85% recycled. The Refuge Hoody is a mid-weight piece with good warmth to weight ratios and a soft comfortable feel. Features a helmet compatible hood. The Vigor is an active insulation piece which combines micro grid fleece and lightweight windproof fabric. It has ultra breathable VerticalX insulation on the core."
The North Face - Future Light
Featuring the new Ultra breathable completely waterproof fabric Future Light, exclusive to The North Face. This very soft three-layer laminate can be woven at different densities in order to maximise the breathability, mvtr and waterproof performance for different activities. It will be available in their summit series, flight series and steep series - ranges for climbers, runners and skiers respectively. Is it a game changer? The fabric has been used extensively by TNF athletes, but how will it fare in the UK's damp climate? We look forward to testing it out later this year!
