The Booster is - in the words of Scarpa Designer Nathan Hoette - "all about the precision". It took 87 prototypes to get to the point where he and Scarpa's Climbing Shoe Category Manager, Heinz Mariacher, were happy with its weight and sensitivity. Designed with both the boulderer and the sport climber in mind, the Booster is gearerd to perform equally well on both small edges and smears.
The Booster features an asymmetrical, downturned shape and a one-third length Vibram® XS Grips 2 sole. This creates a flexible shoe that allows more natural movement through overhanging, thin routes. The DTS rand enhances powerful movements through dynamic problems by concentrating the strength of the foot through an asymmetrical support ribbon. This drives energy to the forefoot while the PAF system helps reduce over-compression of the toes and provides a snug fitting heel.
All of this adds up to create an extremely precise climbing shoe ideal for moving with precision over technical and overhanging rock.
The Booster has been made using Vegan friendly materials and glue.
