Tessa Lyons Kickstarter Campaign Press Release

I come from an illustration background I've been collaborating with organisations who share my passion for the outdoors for many years. I thoroughly enjoy producing work that has a practical use as well as having a distinct aesthetic quality.

I'm setting off on a journey to illustrate a range of tshirts and kit that reflect my enjoyment of the beautiful place I live in, my love of rock climbing and the mountains. I hope that when you buy one of my tshirts it will see you through many adventures for years to come.

In the future I want to develop a whole load more designs for jumpers, camping tin mugs, pencil cases and a host of other ideas. I am doing a Kickstarter campaign to cover the cost of producing my first batch of products. This will enable me to focus on the project and continue creating designs, as well as helping me to gain a feel for the market. By contributing you help get the project on its feet... plus you get a sneaky deal on a tshirt (£20 instead of normal retail price £24.99) or tote (£12 down from RRP £15).

These first two designs I'm going to launch have been inspired by the epic summer we have had here in the UK this year; the climbing days, swims in lakes, van trips and ice cream. I've recently moved to Llanberis in North Wales and feel very lucky to see this view everyday.

For the men's tshirt the Llanberis Pass design will be printed across the front of a khaki colour tshirt. And the women's will feature on the back of a dark rusty orange colour tshirt.

The next design is to be used on a tote bag, ideal for sticking your shoes and chalk bag in to pop out for a boulder, or for the Lidl weekly shop.

Ethically sourced and lovingly made these designs will be printed on 100% organic combed cotton.

Love the new T-Shirts Tessa, Gayle’s promised me one for Christmas. Hope you are well and enjoying life. After 20 years at Alton Gayle and I are heading West to new pastures, hope to catch up sometime. Ivan X

Just a quick heads-up that Tessa has just added a new design, inspired by Al Alvarez's book Feeding the Rat.

There's only 22hrs left on the Kickstarter campaign, so if you're keen/interested get yours now: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1543718842/by-tessa
