Jöttnar Launches New Winter Range Product News

Jöttnar has released its winter 2018/19 range which sees an additional 11 new products join the collection. This is the British brand's largest range expansion to date.

The new products include a 900 Fill Power waterproof down jacket for extreme-cold ski descents, new shell and windproof items, Merino wool base layers plus a selection of synthetic mid layers. This year also sees the launch of Jöttnar's new proprietary waterproof, breathable shell fabric, named SKJOLDR™, which features on all of its shell gear.

New range highlights include:

Ragnarök - a richly featured 900 Fill Power hydrophobic goose down jacket wrapped inside a waterproof, breathable shell. Designed for big mountain ski and snowboard descents.

Elvar – a versatile hooded jacket built with Thermolite® synthetic insulation. Warm when wet, the Elvar is the perfect jacket for cold and damp conditions.

If anyone fancies a good laugh, look up the RRP for the Jottnar Ragnarok.

Good grief! It better be warm then........

And what's a "colourway?".  Marketingspeak for "colour"?

Check it in Euros - will I get a new jacket or a small car?

I don't see the problem. PHD jackets cost as much and even more (Baffin Ventile jacket at a cool £1252 anyone?). The quality of Jottnar stuff seems just as good.

Have you ever done any extreme cold trips? I mean, I don't have a problem if people want to spend money on £5000 Yeezys or £18,000 Glenfiddich, but I think most people would put a £1200 jacket in the same category of unnecessarily expensive.
