Therm-a-Rest has been on a mission for 45 years to improve your outdoor experiences by building the finest gear to keep you warm and comfortable while sleeping under the stars. For 2017, the brand gets cosmic with the introduction of the Questar™ HD sleeping bag. Therm-a-Rest nailed the tricky trifecta of weight, price and warmth with the Questar by using 650 Fill Nikwax® Hydrophobic Down, heat reflecting ThermaCapture™ seams and zoned insulation.

The new Questar enters the 2017 market a true three-season sleeping bag that can go to sub-freezing temperatures. Therm-a-Rest used its years of experience and groundbreaking proprietary technologies to create a "20-degree" sleeping bag that pulls features of the award-winning Fast & Light® bags at a more affordable price of £210.00/E259.95.

But don't let the price fool you. The Questar is packed with the comfort enhancing hallmarks Therm-a-Rest bags are known for. For starters, the bag features the brand's innovative Zoned Insulation, meaning the hydrophobic down is efficiently placed in areas you need it most—like the top of the bag to trap heat—and not wasted on places like the bottom of the bag (which gets crushed while sleeping). The Questar also comes equipped with removable SynergyLink mattress straps and Quilt and Blanket loops—touch points that allow campers to integrate the bag with mattresses and other insulation to build a versatile and adaptable sleep system.

"The construction, materials and features of the Questar all focus on getting better sleep," said Jim Giblin, Therm-a-Rest's tent and sleeping bag category director. "We took feedback from NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) educators and used our extensive experience on the trail along with data from our in-house cold chamber to engineer a better sleeping bag that's perfect for 3-season campers. Also, because there are three sizes to choose from, the Questar can efficiently fit people of different sizes."

The Questar is available now in selected reatilers. See more at www.thermarest.com .
