Red Chili rock shoes are making a comeback in the UK this season. For over 20 years founders Stefan Glowacz and Uwe Hofstädter have been living the mantra that 'only climbers know, what climbers need', and now they're bringing that attitude back to British Climbers.

Check out this video for the full story on how it all began, what goes on behind the scenes, and what continues to make Red Chili special:

In case you're not familiar with the brand, we thought it would be useful to give you a quick rundown of some of the key shoes this season.

ATOMYC (RRP: £119.95)

A precision down-turned slipper designed to deliver the highest level of sensitivity on the most technical routes. An aggressive slingshot rand combines with a single Velcro strap to press the foot forward into the down-turned toe box for maximum power. The full synthetic upper combines with a rubber toe cap to reduce stretch over time. Vibram XS Grip rubber ensures a high level of friction on all rock types.

AMP (RRP: £99.95)

A beautifully crafted, slightly down-turned slipper designed for high-end technical climbing. The 3/4 length midsole gives the shoe enough rigidity to perform on steep terrain while the slingshot rand drives the toes into the box for precision climbing. With a liberal fit, the toe box flattens out for comfort and performance on technical cracks. The full synthetic upper combines with a rubber toe cap to reduce stretch over time. Vibram XS Grip rubber ensures a high level of friction on all types of rock.

SPIRIT VCR (RRP: £94.95)

The Spirit VCR is at home on all types of rock, making it one of our most sought-after all-round climbing shoes for the more technical climber or boulderer. It hugs the foot, keeping a tight, focused fit. The oversized hook & loop strap applies pressure on the upper foot, improving fit and sensitivity. In addition, the improved triple VCR strapping as well as a firm midsole give the climber the power and support for bouldering and a wide variety of routes.
