This beautiful crag has seen a lot of new route activity with a number of mid-grade sport routes added to the Escarpment area including Windy Buttress, Gorgon Buttress, Moonshine Buttress and Brent Scar. In addition, all the older existing trad routes have been added meaning that the latest update to Rockfax Digital now contains three times the number of routes with over 300 climbs listed.

Attermire is set in a stark landscape but on a good day it is a lovely place to climb. The recent sport routes are likely to become popular. In the past the traditional climbs have been busy and whilst less frequented than the sport climbs they are still of a standard and quality that should not be missed.
