Koflach plastic boots are designed for use at temperatures as low as -50 degrees celsius and are ideally suited to Scottish winter use, winter mountaineering and alpinism - as well as for expedition use in extreme environments such as polar expeditions and atop the world's highest mountain ranges.
Though the Koflach brand has not been available in the UK for a number of years it still enjoys a rich European heritage and a strong reputation amongst alpinists who remember the 1980's Koflach Ultra, the iconic double-plastic boot, as well its successor the Koflach Arctis Expe, originally launched in the early 1990's.
The concise UK range will focus on three distinct models, the aforementioned Arctis Expe (RRP: £349), the Degre (RRP: £299) alongside the winterised Guardian Army (RRP: £299) a special model designed for use by the special forces.
Though the plan is to develop a network of specialist, technical dealers throughout 2012 and beyond, mountaineers, alpinists and guides looking for Koflach with immediate availability should contact DB Outdoor Systems on 01539 733842 or by visiting www.dboutdoor.com
