Mammut Revelation 9.2mm

The Mammut Revelation 9.2mm is light, weighing at only 55 grams per meter!

Lighter weight and compact construction means less drag to hold you back whether pulling down at the sport crag or hustling up a route in the mountains

The Teflon Coating Finish enhances cut resistance, increases smooth handling and also contributes to reduced moisture absorption - in addition to Mammut's legendary Superdry treatment

A further benefit and one you'll come to appreciate and depend on is the TrioSafe marking - applied 5 meters from each end and also at the mid point - to help avoid rappelling and lowering incidents and also remind you know when it's time to stop and belay

surely a) this has been out for ages and while the article doesn't say 'we have just extended our high end blah blah blah, that is what it implies b) The mammut serenity and the beal joker, (both of which have also been out for ages) are both lighter at 52 and 53 grams per meter, respectively, so 'this is as light as it gets' is factually incorrect yes I know it's not a review and it is minimally edited marketing copy, but come on this is just sloppy.

Presumably this Mammut's own text which makes it even weirder because just as you say the Revelations has been around for yonks? I had one, liked it but wore it out two years ago I think, so I reckon I got it in 2005 or 06. Odd. I would add as well that the Revelation is a nice rope and I did sometimes use it as a half rope, but now use a Joker and like that it has actually been tested as a half as well as a single, unlike the Revelation which is only tested as a single.
