Armaid - For Damaged Or Tired Arms

© The Climbing Academy
Armaid is a self-massage device that gets right to the source of elbow problems.

Early in 2012, Paul Twomey was looking for a way to sort out his chronic elbow tendenosis, caused by 20+ years of hard training and climbing.

He came across Armaid when a friend in Australia told him of a product he'd used to treat his own elbows. After some more research, Paul ordered one from the US and got to work on his arms.

Within a couple of months, and with advice and treatment from a physio, his arms were massively improved. We decided to start importing Armaid and selling it in the UK.

Paul's written up his experiences on the TCA website here.

There are videos of how to use the Armaid, and other reviews on our shop website (link below), so if you suffer from bad elbows, or you want to avoid suffering from them, take a look.

Would be interesting to hear what a physio would make of bruising your arms so badly with that device. It seems like it's intended as a solo sports massage thing with the same principles as a foam roller. While a sports massage should hurt it surely shouldn't leave you bruised.

To be fair, the image caption does say this: "Rob's forearms after initially using Armaid. This flushing reaction is the start of the healing process in very extreme cases and will not happen to most people. My arms reacted in exactly the same way on the very first use of Armaid" Very tempted to get one.

i'd also suggest a book called trigger point therapy by claire davies (may or may not have spelled that correctly). many elbow problems are caused by referred pain from further up the arms, shoulders, neck etc. etc......

Took delivery of one of these today. Had quick few goes (after watching instruction on video) and I thinks it is going to be awesome.
